Session 1 - Introduction (1 Samuel 1:1-2:36)

Roger Forster, November 1, 1991
Part of the 1 Samuel series, preached at a Right Through the Bible service

Roger draws principles of prayer from the example of Hannah, whose prayer in 1 Samuel chapter one is fervent, definite, specific, in genuine faith and perseveres until a place of peace and assurance of an answer has been reached. Hannah also presents an example of Godly motherhood from which we can learn principles for parenting. In chapter two the theme of family and parenthood is continued as Hannah's example is contrasted with the failure of Eli as a parent. (77 mins)
