Reflections from HITC
‘WHAT’S HIS NAME?!’ JESUS!! WHO DO WE LOVE?! JESUS!! WHO DO WE SERVE?! JESUS!!’
We proclaimed along the South Bank of the River Thames, quite literally making a loud, joyful noise with guitars, drums, bongos, tambourines, trumpets, violins, flutes, flags, banners—voices joined together in unity and the cross carried at the front, leading our procession. This was one of those experiences where “you just had to be there”.
From the moment we arrived on the South Bank, it was as if all the prayer, all the worship, all the agreement from Sunday in Erith to Tower Bridge on Friday was leading up to this moment. “Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest!” was our heart’s cry! “Hosanna in the city, His kingdom come! His will be done on earth, just as it is in heaven.” And all the South Bank met us in that proclamation. I was so struck by how many people joined in our joyful noise—people who didn’t necessarily know Jesus but loved the sound we were making. So many joined in our procession, laughing and dancing, wanting to know who we were and what this was all about. People all along the riverbank had their phones out recording, posting on their social media, unknowingly spreading our Easter message that Jesus is alive, and because of His death and resurrection, we can enjoy new life in Him!
Throughout the whole week, we were stopped by so many Christians who were encouraged to see us in their local area, reaching out in evangelism, spreading the Good News everywhere from east to west. One lady told me that she was so encouraged to see us worshipping outside Woolwich station, as she had been crying out in prayer for street evangelism to take place there—so we were an answer to prayer for her. All manner of people—young, old, of all nations and races—came up to us, urging us to keep going, keep sharing, blessing us as we went, and joining us in prayer. It added so much joy to see commuters coming out of the station, hands lifted high in praise, encouraging us to keep going, smiling as they went away.
Finally, we arrived at our last meeting point: the London Eye, opposite Parliament. There we stopped to pray over London, over all the seeds that had been sown, with the cross lifted high against the skyline. It was a momentous moment. The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible. It’s as if all the surrounding area became still. People felt drawn to the cross and compelled to stay close to it, eyes closed, just waiting, listening, hoping for something. It was an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel and pray for those individuals and allow them to respond to the message of Jesus—that He saves and redeems.
What an honour it is to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the reason for our hope. He is the reason that we can stand and sing of His goodness, His faithfulness, and of His loving-kindness. He redeems our lives from death and the grave. Come one, come all. Come, taste and see that the Lord is good. Come and see how He will turn your mourning into dancing—He’ll trade your sorrows for joy.
Don’t be dismayed if you missed out on this HITC—there will be another at Pentecost! For more details, keep your eye on this page, as we will be releasing all the information in the days to come!
To all the readers, bless you so much! May you know Jesus and the hope to which He has called you.
All my love,

Get involved in ‘Hosanna in the City’ in London this Easter
As Jesus was entering Jerusalem in the days before he was crucified…
“..the crowds that went before him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!””
In Luke 19, we read of the spontaneous joy and praise springing up because of the wonderful things Jesus had done…
“the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, shouting:
“Blessed is the King, the One who comes in the name of the Lord;
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
In this same spirit, we will be raising a ‘Hosanna’ this Easter from the 13th-18th April 2025 and welcoming our glorious Jesus into London! Please join us for a week of praise, prayer and proclamation!! The route and timings can be found below…

Each day of Hosanna in the City will begin at 6pm (3pm on Friday) with a gathering of worship on the streets, prayer for the city and sharing the gospel with anyone and everyone who gathers with us. Phil Tate will be carrying his full-size cross as a powerful visual representation of our message, and we will have a mobile worship team including drum kit on wheels! We would also like to invite YOU to bring along your handheld instruments, flags and banners to raise in worship.
After an initial 40 minute gathering at the meeting point, we will prayer walk to the next stop on the route, carrying the cross and worshipping as we go. If you can’t walk the whole way, you can join in for corporate worship time and outreach then turn back whenever you feel tired, or hop on a bus!
If you can’t join us for any of Hosanna in the City, you can still get involved…! Join us for our Heartbeat for Harvest conference in London on the 26th April, Sign up to pray for Crosswalk England and Hosanna in the City. Find out more by clicking the buttons below.
