Chapters 6 and 53 are comparable, and Roger contrasts Uzziah the leprous king of chapter six with the ‘leprous messiah’ (as called by some rabbis) in chapter 53. These parallels are a strong case for single authorship, but also drawn together they show us a beautiful picture of the Lord exalted on the throne, and exalted at the cross. (75 mins)
