For the first time in 2 years we were able reintroduce our Good Friday Easter March, which was a wonderful feeling!
Over a 100 people gathered at Southcroft Congregation in Mitcham as our starting point. We set off in good spirits with the band being towed on the back of a truck providing the praise and worship. There were flags waving, saints singings and evangelising to the local people as we marched up Mitcham Lane. The response was amazing as people came out of their homes, and opened windows to see what all the noise was about as we passed. We blessed passer-by’s with tracts and Easter eggs, leaving them with smiles on their faces.
When we reached Streatham Green, we joined congregations from ‘Love Streatham’ churches for a mass outdoor service on the green. Gathered together, there was over 200 people worshipping Jesus as we acknowledged His sacrifice and His resurrection. The service included a message from Joshua, a worship dance routine from the Southcroft youth and prayers from the ‘Love Streatham’ leaders.
The whole morning was a demonstration that Jesus IS ALIVE and so is the church!!
