Jesus said “You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
City on a Hill 2025 is here! For four weekends, we as the Ichthus movement will be on mission at four of our congregations, shining our lights for the sake of our King, Jesus. These weekends will be packed with all kinds of evangelism, from church on the streets to evangelistic quiz nights! Watch this space for more details of the events and timings of each weekend.
Come and join us for the best type of fellowship – being on mission together as God’s people!

What is City On A Hill Mission?
Whilst praying and fasting during some of 2021 lockdowns, we received a number of prophetic words for Ichthus as a movement about sending out small evangelistic teams to different places to spread the good news of Jesus and to be a blessing to local communities. Since April 2022, we have been doing that in the form of City on a Hill Mission.
City on a Hill Mission is an intensive weekend of evangelism and training across the various Ichthus congregational communities, with the aim of seeing the name of Jesus proclaimed and seeing His body built up in this vital task.
2024 Report
City on a Hill 2024 was a huge encouragement as we saw God stirring up, equipping and going before His people in the work of evangelism! This year Chislehurst, New Wine, Abide, Southcroft and Sittingbourne all organised a weekend’s worth of outreach of all kinds; from fundays on local estates to international music nights in their church buildings. These creative events functioned as ways of blessing our communities and creating platforms for those who do not know Jesus to get familiar with being inside a church building, hearing stories of how the Lord has changed lives and coming into contact with His gospel message. These were all done alongside our more traditional ways of doing evangelism like Church on the Street and door knocking.
Our RadNets brought a huge boost of energy and fruitfulness to the evangelism as they came to serve alongside congregation members and stepped out in sharing the gospel in new ways and settings. Once again, we were hugely encouraged to have those who had come to faith in previous City on a Hills join in the work of seeing others come into the Kingdom.
That is the main reason for all this hard work (and fun) – that people may find salvation in Jesus, welcomed into God’s family, and begin taking hold of the eternal life to which they were called. And we were not disappointed. Our Sunday guest services received visitors, and many people responded to the gospel which was preached, either for the first time (some from some of the most unreached parts of the world!) or as a recommitment.
