We are inviting you to join us for 3 days of prayer and fasting as we ‘dig’ into prayer at the start of the year. 2024 is 50 years since Ichthus was planted in 1974, and we are taking the whole year to focus on the Jubilee and the year of God’s favour. We’re exploring the anointing that Jesus proclaims in Luke 4, taken from Isaiah 61 and Leviticus 25. Therefore, at the start of 2024, we want to explore ‘Prophet, Priest and King’, which were 3 callings in the Old Testament involving a physical anointing with oil at the beginning of their ministry. We will also be unpacking how Jesus then fulfils the anointing of the Prophet, Priest and King.
In each of the six prayer sessions in the morning we will be praying into the Old Testament roles of Prophet, Priest and King, and then we will open up Jesus’ ministry in the evening sessions 8-9:30pm. There will also be a particular prayer focus each day, which you can look at below too. On Thursday morning we will be joined by our Ichthus overseas workers on Zoom, who will share their heart for the nations and we will pick up on this in prayer.
All the meetings will be held in person at Ichthus Prayer House, 118 Perry Vale, SE23 2LQ and we do really hope you can join us for some or all of them! On the Thursday evening we will continue on in prayer beyond 9:30pm for anyone who wants to press in for the whole movement.
