Link Leaders Conference 19th – 20th January 2024

Bookings are Now Closed

2024 – The Year of Jubilee!

Next year we celebrate 50 years since Roger & Faith Forster planted Ichthus, in 1974. We are taking this opportunity to focus in on one of our ‘signature’ verses, and to journey through it during all our conferences throughout the year:

“the Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,

Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives,

And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set free those who are oppressed,

To proclaim the favourable year of the lord.” (Luke 4:18-19 / Isaiah 61:1-2)

We are approaching this Scripture through the ‘lens’ of hearing Jesus’ voice, the same voice that read this Isaiah 61 passage out in the synagogue and when he sat down, everyone’s eyes were ‘fixed on him’ in amazement. Join us as we explore how this same voice of Jesus is still speaking to us today, and the anointing that was upon Him and is upon us today as his body. Let’s fix our eyes on him and receive the prophetic calling to be freedom-bringers, gospel preachers and channels of God’s healing power into this world.

In the Link Leaders Conference we are exploring the power of HIS anointing. How do we stand as leaders in this time? We need the anointed voice of Jesus to define everything that we are. Embracing his powerful words to strength our roots as oaks of righteousness (Isa 61:3), overcoming all despair, fear and attack.

Our hearts leap for joy at the powerful words of Luke 4, with a longing for a sustained season of favour over our churches and ministries. Yet we need to focus on the Kingly Anointing on our Lord Jesus and the authority of these words which he spoke out.

In these days of political and economic uncertainty, there is contesting over who and what we listen to: but we need to listen to the anointed voice of the Lord. His is the voice that shakes the wilderness (Psalm 29:8) of sin and enemy oppression, yet also brings tender comfort to the poor and peace to his people (Psalm 29:11).

This event is by invitation only. Please contact the office on (0)20 8694 7171, or email conferences@ichthus.org.uk if you are interested in coming.
