While 1 and 2 Chronicles cover much of the same period as Samuel and Kings, some bits are added, combined or subtracted. 1 Chronicles is in two parts: 1) Chapters 1-9 are genealogies, showing the importance of the 12 tribes, and 2) Chapters 10-31 cover the 'priest-kingly' reign of David.
